My enthusiasm for teaching stems from my belief that whatever I have done or learned should benefit others. My role as an instructor is to give students the advantage of taking wheels that I have invented and rolling them forward on their own paths. By “wheel,” I mean a mental model. Although I cannot upload mental models into students, I make it my first priority to help students actively build their own.
My end goal is for students to build mental models in a collaborative space such that they grow to be cooperative and confident systems thinkers.
